Heartbeats
I am excited! The excitement of Frazer keeps me excited. Webster’s definition of excitement is “to call to activity; to rouse to an emotional response; Energize, Stimulate; to raise to a higher energy level”. A one-word description for Frazer is excitement. The entire definition of excitement is descriptive of our church. It is exciting to be at Frazer every day of the week and especially on Sundays. Pastor's Points (Continued)
(Continued from top)
What is a typical week like at Frazer? Well, there is no typical week at Frazer. Every week carries its own energy. While we may have a routine to the week like the Tuesday Morning Prayer time at 6 a.m. in the Chapel and the Wednesday Evening Supper at 5 p.m. and the Bible study at 6 p.m. and the endless schedule of staff meetings (Leadership Team, Program Team, Worship Team, and full staff meeting) and radio taping and “Heartbeats” interviews and “Heartbeats” bulletin and committee meetings, there remains an energy, an excitement that raises us to a higher energy level and a new response. The exciting factor in the weekly routine is people. Your church staff is high energy! They want to serve God and this church to the best of their ability. I have found this in every staff position we have from those who sweep the floors and man the offices to those who are involved in the various ministries. People always make the difference and always cause the excitement. Sometimes we forget that people are always at the center of what we do here.
Especially on Sunday, YOU provide the excitement. There is a wonderful energy in our worship places. The greeters and the ushers start with a smile and assist all who enter. The choirs are made up of volunteers that sing their hearts out every Sunday in the Sanctuary and in Wesley Hall. They give it their all, and it is exciting to see and hear them in service. Those of you in attendance add excitement and energy because, whether you are in Wesley Hall or the Sanctuary, the expressions on your faces tell the story. The pastors are energized to pray hard, study hard, teach and preach passionately.
Let me give you a warning. Don’t come to Frazer and expect to be the same when you leave here. You will be excited! You will be energized! You will excite, and you will give energy!
