Heartbeats
I can feel it! My heart is beating a little faster these days. I can actually sense a good and positive change in the air. I am encouraged about so many things that are happening or are going to happen in the near future. The Joel Committee will soon meet to talk about worship and how we can have more energy in our worship. They will be reviewing some of the work that they have already done and will be talking about new worship possibilities. They have a tremendous task before them, and they need your support and prayers. (more)
Frazer Response To Earthquake In Haiti
True to our heartbeat of missions through service, many Frazer members are already asking how they can help in response to the devastating earthquake in Haiti.
- First, the church has already responded with a donation of $12,000 to the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR). UMCOR has a long relationship in Haiti with trained relief workers already on the ground.
- Members can give through our regular offerings by marking your envelope "for Haiti relief." You can encourage others who may not attend Frazer to give directly to UMCOR by visiting www.givetomissions.com and entering the designation code #418325.
- Members can also pray about being part of a short-term mission trip later this year. Methodists have a reputation for being there for the long road of recovery, and our missions committee will be consulting with our partners in Haiti over the coming weeks to determine the ways in which we can go and make the most difference later this year.
- Most importantly, continue to pray for the people of Haiti and for the many missions workers already there and their families.

Pastor's Points (Continued)
(Continued from top)
This past week Patrick and I invited the congregation to remember and claim their baptism. There is genuine power in baptism. I now want you to remember the vision of Frazer. I have asked people to tell me the vision of Frazer. They know our mission to WORSHIP, WIN, DISCIPLE, and SERVE. It is our vision statement that will help us accomplish our mission. I have a vision for Frazer. I have a preferred future for Frazer. It is the vision that Frazer has always had over the years. I want you to remember and claim this vision.
Eighty-five percent of the members at Frazer are here because a member invited them––and not only invited them but actually picked them up and brought them to Frazer. (I know this percentage is accurate because I asked John Ed not to give me a “ministerial estimate” for which he is famous. Before I shared this percentage it was independently verified.) People bringing people is the key to a church with vitality and excitement. When this happens, passionate worship happens. When every member is in ministry so much more can be accomplished for God.
Our vision is “people bringing people and every member in ministry.”
I am not going to ask you to do something that I am not going to do. I will invite and bring a new person to Frazer—not for Frazer’s sake but for that person’s sake. I will be asking our staff to recapture this vision. We will hold each other accountable. I will be asking our Board of Stewards to lead by example. We will accomplish our mission of worship, win, disciple, and serve when we live into our vision.
Ready, Set, GO!
