Pre-Marital Ministry provides engaged couples guidance to help them discover God’s plan for a lifetime of love. The major goal is to establish and practice good communication and decision making skills that will provide a firm foundation for their marriage.

Preparing for Marriage curriculum offers a 7 week course with a mentoring couple who gives guidance to help you make the most thorough, comprehensive and in-depth preparations possible.

Engage Encounter offers a weekend that provides in-depth techniques that
prepare you for marriage. All couples to be married at Frazer or being married by a Frazer Pastor must go through this mentoring process.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

• Lead 2-3 couples through a 7 week Preparing for Marriage course at least once a year.
• To build an open relationship with the assigned engaged couples.
• Evaluate the relationship of couples and address problem areas as well as strengths with them.
• Report serious problems to the marriage coordinator and or Pastor.

Time spent volunteering:
• 7 weeks per couple
• 1 to 1 1/2 hours per week with couple
• 2-3 couples per year

Volunteer skills needed:
• Frazer church member for at least 2 years
• Married at least 7 years
• Willing to open your home for the mentoring
• Willing to share openly about personal struggles and growth in your marriage
