Prayer Volunteers
Prayer is part of every program at Frazer because every program is about connecting people to God. Volunteers who feel called to put a special focus on prayer serve as Prayer Responders to individuals who are seeking prayer, and/or as Prayer Partners, working hand in hand with other ministry areas to enhance and empower their work.
These ongoing prayer efforts are enhanced by church-wide and community-wide prayer events and training.
Prayer Responders
Worship Responses: Altar Call
Trained intercessors pray with anyone who has a need at the end of each worship experience, in response to the pastor’s invitation or “altar call.” The need may be a spiritual, emotional, physical, or relational. Volunteers are not counselors but are extensively trained, caring people who are willing to be used by God as they share the love of Christ with those who are hurting.
Television Responses: Telephone Warriors
Each Sunday morning our Sanctuary and Wesley Hall worship services are televised along with a telephone number which those in the viewing audience can call for prayer. Volunteers offer encouragement, scripture, and prayer to callers.
Written Requests: Upper Room
Prayer room intercessors have a heart for people and a burden to take their needs before the Lord. Volunteers spend one hour each week praying in our designated “upper room” for those who have submitted prayer requests at the church campus or through our website. After praying, volunteers respond when appropriate with either written notes or emails of encouragement and support.

Prayer Partners
Worship Prayer Partners
Worship is an encounter with God’s presence. No amount of human effort can create that without God’s power. Frazer's Sunday morning ministry intercessors seek to provide that power as they pray together during Frazer's worship services for those who are leading worship and those in attendance. Frazer pastors and staff also meet in the Atrium Sundays at 7:30 a.m. to pray before our worship services. All are welcomed to participate.
Mission Prayer Partners
Knowing God's heart for the nations, Frazer prays consistently for the missionaries around the world whom we financially support on a long term basis, as well as giving focused prayer support to Frazer members while they engage in short term mission trips.
Ministry Prayer Partners
In order to be effective, every program of ministry at Frazer must have continual prayer. Ministries are grouped by departments and intercessors choose an area in which to focus their prayers. Each ministry supplies specific prayer requests and upcoming events so that the intercessors can pray informed and effectively. These intercessors primarily pray at home but may also come together for group prayer on occasion.
Student Prayer Partners
Each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. intercessors meet in room 8253 to lift up our students and the leadership of the Student Ministry.
