Care Volunteers
Everyone can care for someone. Frazer offers meaningful opportunities to serve others who need hope and healing even if you have no special training. We also offer extensive training environments for those who want to take their care giving ministry to the next level.
Visiting
- Home Visits: Frazer’s visitation teams go to homes and nursing/assisted living facilities to talk to, pray with, and show love to those who are unable to attend church, generally the elderly. Contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
- Hospital-to-Pew: Volunteers follow up by phone to offer continued support to those who have been hospitalized until they are well enough to return to church. Contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
- Bereavement: Frazer volunteers contact those who have lost loved ones by phone or mail to offer support. Contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
Specially Trained Care Givers and Mentors
- Stephen Ministers: Extensively trained in caring for the emotional and spiritual needs of others on a long-term, one-to-one, confidential basis. Stephen ministers come alongside those facing a chronic or terminal illness or disability, grief over a loss, a job crisis, separation or divorce, extreme loneliness, a spiritual crisis, or any other long term need as a caring friend. - Pre-Marital Counseling: Mentor couples (normally married at least five years) open their home and their hearts to lead an engaged couple through a seven week curriculum designed to prepare them with the skills needed to build a firm foundation for a lifelong marriage. - Daycare Dementia: volunteers familiar with the personality and actions of people with Dementia, whether caused by Parkinson’s, brain tumors, injury, or Alzheimer’s, either through medical training on personal experience with a family member, create a safe and loving environment for those suffering in order to give a respite to their regular caregivers. Support Group Facilitators
- Celebrate Recovery: Volunteer group facilitators help group members work through a Christ-centered twelve-step program for recovering from addictions, hurts, and hang-ups of all kinds. Contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
