Notes from Our Pastor
Image In 1982, Virginia and I moved back to Montgomery, where I became the Chaplain of Huntingdon College for one year. We rented a house off of Woodley Road. That’s way on the other side of town from Frazer. The day we were moving in, there was a knock on our front door. When I answered, the postman was standing there. He introduced himself (I can’t remember his name), welcomed us to the neighborhood, and then he said, “I don’t know if you’re church-going people, but I go to Frazer United Methodist Church on the Atlanta Highway, and I want to invite you to come to my church. I know you will love it there!”

THANK YOU FOR DONATING SUPPLIES FOR 2010 MISSION TRIPS
image In February, the Missions Board collected craft and health items to be used for 16 planned mission trips Frazer members will serve on in 2010. In addition, God led 121 people to seek more information or sign up for a mission trip this year.

Thank you for your generosity and faithfulness by providing the following supplies to help our mission teams as they share Christ’s love with those who need it throughout the world: 59 bottles of baby aspirin, 54 tubes of ointment, 166 boxes of bandages, 137 bottles of hand sanitizer, 5974 sheets of construction paper, 73 pairs of scissors, 1224 pencils, 1336 color pencils, 55 pencil sharpeners, 4116 crayons, 754 markers.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR MUSIC MINISTRY EVENTS
Frazer’s Worship Team is working hard to prepare for upcoming events you will not want to miss. Rather than a single Easter musical, expect extraordinary special music as part of Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday services. Then, on April 25, be sure to come for “The Everlasting Song,” a treasury of hymns and the stories behind them, presented in styles from ancient to modern by Frazer’s choirs, praise team, full orchestra and drama team.

YOUTH WORSHIP ARTS DINNER THEATRE PLANNED FOR APRIL 11
Don’t miss the “East Coast Extravaganza” Sunday, April 11 in the Fellowship Hall. Performances will be at 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. and include a “Low Country” themed meal. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children under age 10. Tables may be reserved for $80. Ticket sales will help raise funds for our summer mission trip to Savannah, Charleston and Myrtle Beach. Tickets will be on sale Sundays and Wednesdays in the Atrium, in the Frazer Bookstore or from any YWA member.

NO WEDNESDAY PROGRAMS THIS WEEK DUE TO SPRING BREAK
Since this week is Spring Break for many schools in our area, we will take a break from Wednesday Night Supper and other Wednesday night activities. Choir, praise band and orchestra will still meet for rehearsal. Programs will resume at their normal times next week.

EASTER YARD CROSSES AVAILABLE MARCH 21 AND 28
Share your faith with your neighborhood this Easter by displaying a yard cross during Holy Week built by Frazer volunteers. Crosses will be available in the Atrium Sundays, March 21 and 28 at no charge ($5 donation will cover materials).

Notes from Our Pastor - Continued

My postman was doing more than delivering mail. He was so excited about his faith. He was so excited about his church family at Frazer, that every time someone new moved into a house that was on his route, he stopped and invited them to church. Isn’t that great?

The people of Frazer have always been great inviters. The truth is that most of you are here today because someone somewhere along the way of your life invited you to Frazer. So many of the words of Jesus were inviting words—come, follow, bring. Inviting is in our DNA as Christians. Wouldn’t it be a neat thing if every member of Frazer invited one person to come to church with them next Sunday. I’m going to invite someone. I hope you will too.
