Safe Sanctuaries Training Workshop

Date: May 16
Time: 12:30-3 p.m.
Location: Fellowship Hall

When the crowd tried to keep the children away from Jesus, he was quick to respond, “Let the children come to me.” Jesus taught that children were to be included and provided for within the community of faith. Today, the church may be the only place where some children find the unconditional love and care they so desperately need to grow and thrive. Join us as we learn how to create that safe sanctuary for our children.
The United Methodist Church participates in the Safe Sanctuaries program to ensure that our churches remain a place of safety and sanctuary for all children and youth.
Frazer is urging all volunteers who work with children ages 0-18 to attend this afternoon training workshop.
Covered dish lunch will be served with the church providing the meat, and childcare is available. Please register by Friday, May 7 so we'll know how many to prepare lunch for and make appropriate childcare arrangements.

Confirmation Retreat

Date: April 16-April 18

Confirmation is just the beginning of a journey. We want to make sure our Confirmands are "built to last" and not just fade away after these past few months. Their faith is the most important thing; it goes beyond the sports they play and even the school work they work so hard on! Our Confirmation will culminate in our retreat this April.

The retreat will be April 16-18 at Camp Chandler. The cost is $75 and you can pay anytime! You can register online below, or just come by the Crave Student Ministry Office and turn in your payment along with your registration form. Your balance must be paid in full by Sunday, March 28. There will be a parent meeting the Sunday before the retreat, April 11th, from 4-5PM. This retreat is a requirement to be Confirmed. If you need financial assistance, please let us know ASAP!

If you have not yet done so, please fill out our 2010 Liability Form. This is a medical form that must be updated each year. It must be notarized and we can help you with that too if needed! These forms can also be found in the Crave Student Ministry Office.

Great Day of Service

Date: April 10
Time: 8:00am-3:00pm

For registration and more information, visit the Great Day of Service website.

Frazer's second Great Day of Service is a signature opportunity to demonstrate to the God's love to our whole community by focusing the efforts of as many people as possible into one day of meeting the needs of others. This year that day is Saturday, April 10.

We are excited to be joining forces with First United Methodist Montgomery and Aldersgate United Methodist churches to even further enhance our impact on the city. As Frazer members, we believe in serving others all year long, but the Great Day of Service is a special opportunity to come together and serve side by side.

A team is already at work gather practical projects from area agencies and individuals in need. Categories of projects will range from light construction to yard work, cooking meals to neighborhood friendship parties. Each project will have a leader to coordinate our efforts and ensure necessary resources are in place. All projects will start at 8 a.m. be designed to last no longer than until 3 p.m.

Members can sign up to serve through their Sunday School class or as individuals. You sign up for the category that you feel best suited for, and we will match you with a project.

The Great Day of Service will be preceded by a prayer vigil asking God to use us as the hands and feet of Christ, meeting the spiritual as well as the physical needs of those whom we serve.

At the end of the day we'll gather at Huntingdon college to share stories of how we saw God work and give Him praise for all that is done.

In coordination with The Great Day of Service, we will be having a Prayer Vigil April 9-10th.
