Frazer Father’s Day Run 2013

Time: 5K start 7:30AM, 1-Mile 8:30AM, Race-Day Registration/Packet Pickup opens 6:30AM
Location: Behind the Frazer Activity Center (JEMAC)
Save the date for the Saturday before Father's Day for a day of fun featuring 5K and 1-Mile run/walk courses starting and finishing behind the Frazer Activity Center and running through the Landmark subdivision. The race is open to all but special prize drawings will be offered for father-child teams. Proceeds will benefit Stella's Voice, Frazer's mission partner in the Eastern European nation of Moldova, fighting human trafficking (modern day slavery) by providing a home and a hope to orphaned girls and boys.

On Wednesday, May 29, from 5:30-9:30PM Crave will will kick off the summer with a party at Jeff & Jaime Welch's home (2210 Ray Thorington Rd. - Look for the signs and the decor!) Bring your swimsuit (ladies- one piece please!) and bring a coconut or pineapple for an entrance fee. Wanna add's some spice to the night? VBS 2013

"The Colossal Coaster" is the theme for this year's Frazer VBS, teaching children through the metaphor of a roller coaster how to overcome fear and live the adventure of faith through the teaching of God's Word, the Bible. Games, crafts, singing, fun and worship are all a part of our biggest Children's Ministry event of the year that draws in hundreds of rising K5 through 6th graders from Frazer and from our community. Sign your child up using the registration form below.
Volunteers are Needed
If VBS made an impact on you as a child, consider giving back by becoming a volunteer. We need teachers and assistants in the classrooms; you bring your love for children, and we'll supply the curriculum and all the materials you'll need to walk you step by step through a fun week of teaching. Behind-the-scenes servants are also needed to make the fun of games, crafts, snacks and worship times come to life. Sign up using the registration form below. Nursery for children ages 0-4 is available only for children of volunteers.

Girls’ Summer Volleyball

Have fun and develop your skills at Frazer's summer volleyball league for girls. Cost is $25 including t-shirt. Practices will be Monday afternoons and games Thursday afternoons. Season runs June 6 through July 25. Evaluations will be in the gym from 4-6 p.m. on Monday June 3. To register, see the control desk in the Frazer Activity Center.

Scout Interest Dinner

Frazer has added two new Scouting units and now includes opportunities for boys aged 6-21 and girls 14-21. Come learn what it really means to be a Scout - everything from learning how to fish and play baseball to learning how to sail and go scuba diving! Dr Tim will also share his Eagle Scout experiences. Let us help you discover what it really means to be a Scout!
$5 spaghetti dinner for anyone interested - no charge if you don't want dinner.

Good Mornings

Good Mornings offers rising 1st through 6th grade boys and girls a fun and Christ-focused program for the summer on Monday - Thursday mornings from 9 to noon in the Activity Center. Games, daily devotion, snack time, movie days, guest speakers, story time, and lots more. Cost is only $7 per day. (Early drop off at 7:30 a.m. available for an additional $3 per day.) Note: will not meet the week of Frazer VBS, July 8-12.

Singles Beach Retreat
Date: May 16-May 19
Location: Phoenix VII in Orange Beach, AL
Fun in the sun for all Frazer Single Adults. Fellowship and enjoy special speakers and Bible Studies in addition of plenty of time to just relax. Charles and Elizabeth Wise will teach on "Hearing the Voice of God" and music will be provided by Rob Thornhill.
Lodging cost for four days/three nights ranges from $668 for a room by yourself to $119 per person based on 8 people in 3-bedroom suite. Meals are on your own (continental breakfast provided). $50 deposit due April 16; $25 late fee after May 1. Contact Virginia in the Singles Office for details and to register.

Children’s Summer Camps 2013

Camp Challenge
Rising 4th-6th Grade; 10:30 a.m. Monday–12:30 p.m. Friday June 10-14
Join us at beautiful Camp Chandler approximately 30 minutes North of Montgomery for canoeing, paddle boats, fishing, swimming, water slide, horseback riding, putt-putt golf, nature hikes, and crafts with Bible study, chapel time, new friends, and much, much more! Frazer's Children's Ministry Staff, parents, and responsible youth will be the camp counselors.
Registration and Fees
- Camp Sonshine $150 per camper. Pay the entire amount online (small Paypal service fee applies) or pay by check in the Children's Ministry office. If paying by check, payments can be split up as follows: $70 deposit to reserve your space; $40 payment due April 14, $40 final payment due May 12. $20 late fee applies after May 12. $140 non-refundable after May 12; entire amount non-refundable after May 26.
- Camp Challenge $275 per camper. Pay the entire amount online (small Paypal service fee applies) or pay by check in the Children's Ministry office. If paying by check, payments can be split up as follows: $85 deposit to reserve your space; $95 payment due April 14, $95 final payment due May 12. $20 late fee applies after May 12. $140 non-refundable after May 12; entire amount non-refundable after May 26.
- Fees include all meals, snacks, and camp T-shirt. No additional spending money is needed.
