| Missions are a top priority at Frazer. Much of our budget supports areas of outreach to our community and world. We want every member of Frazer, no matter what age or situation, to have a passion for sharing Christ through loving others. One way we share this vision is through an annual Missions Conference every September. Missionaries that we support come to Frazer for a week of sharing with one another and getting spiritually refreshed. They also speak to Sunday School classes and other small groups. This puts a face on missions for those who remain here to support missionaries.
Frazer members support mission in several ways. Our members commit to support a fund in the Alabama-West Florida Conference that develops churches in underserved areas and revitalizes churches that need a new spark. We have members with recreational vehicles who commit to use their RVs for mission projects and serve on mission teams. Other members of many ages serve on work teams or medical teams which go to many parts of the world to perform needed tasks, all in the name of Jesus.
We provide monetary and prayer support for missionaries in all parts of the world.
If you are interested in short term missions, call or email Rudy Heintzelman at rudyh@frazerumc.org for information.
Medical Teams
Many people in the United States and all over the world do not have access to the kind of health care that they need to live. In Montgomery, Frazer sponsors the Montgomery Medical Outreach Clinic. We also send teams of medical professionals with work teams to meet the medical needs of people who just don't have the money to pay for health care as well as those for whom there is no health care available. Contact Rudy Heintzelman if you have medical skills you are willing to share with a hurting world.
Work Teams
All mission teams are work but there are groups that go to serve God with hammers and saws. Teams consisting of students, young adults and older adults have gone during past years to different parts of Alabama, the United States, and the world to build and repair. The Student Ministry and Singles Ministry have arranged trips for those who participate in their ministries. Contact those offices if you are interested in one of their trips. Contact Rudy Heintzelman if you are interested in a mission team made up of a more varied group of people.
