The Christian Job Exchange is a ministry of Frazer UMC to to assist employees in finding full or part-time employment and to assist employers in locating qualified personnel. The Christian Job Exchange is located in the Community Ministries building of Frazer. Staffed by volunteers, the office is open Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00-11:30 a.m.
Matching Applicants with Jobs
Applicants are asked to come to the Christian Job Exchange office and complete an application form. They are then interviewed by a Job Exchange volunteer. Based upon information gained from the interview and taken from the application, the applicant may be given the phone numbers of prospective employers. Employers are asked to complete an Available Job Form or to call information in to the Job Exchange during operating hours. once all the information about the open position is ascertained, the Christian Job Exchange will review the list of available job applicants for that job classification. Applicants who meet the qualifications for the job opening will then be given the name and phone number of the prospective employer. However if the employer requests application information and names of prospective employees will be given to the employer before any information is given to prospective employee.
A Ministry to the Community
This is a service to the Montgomery community that is completely free of charge for the employee and the employer. It is the desire of this ministry to provide God's people with a means to support themselves, their families and their companies. THis ministry is open to anyone who is in need of employment, full or part-time or to any employer who desires the skills and Christian work ethic of capable employees. This is a ministry devoted to the service of Jesus Christ and we believe it necessary to uphold the standards for employment set forth by His word.
