Worship is a response of the whole person to the presence of God. It calls out the highest expressions of the human intellect and emotions. It stirs our imagination and engages our creativity.
Throughout history, worship has been the catalyst for the greatest music, visual and dramatic arts. Frazer seeks to continue that heritage in fresh and passionate ways.
And while the worship of God can and should challenge the genius of the most talented among us, it remains the one thing every man, woman and child should participate in.
So whether you are a musician or artist looking for a place to serve, a parent desiring to develop your child as a worshipper, or just an “average person” looking to deepen your worship, Frazer’s Worship Ministries are here for you.

Minister of Worship

Drama

- Productions–Frazer produces one to two major dramas each year (Christmas being one) in a variety of styles including contemporary or period drama. These productions bring together all aspects of Frazer’s musical groups and creative teams. Opportunities abound for scriptwriters, directors, actors, set design/construction, costume, and lighting volunteers. The time commitments for preparation and rehearsals can be intense, but so are the rewards for seeing all the pieces come together in amazing ways to glorify God, lead people in worship and share the gospel with the community. Visual Arts

- Although still in a dreaming stage, Frazer desires to develop ministries that encourage and support a renaissance of faith-based visual arts, from painting and sculpture to graphic arts and filmmaking. To date we have experimented with integrating art into church prayer vigils, and offering art-as-worship instructional classes. If you have ideas for initiatives in this area, contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
Children’s Worship Arts

- Frazer’s philosophy is that all children can participate in worship. Cultivating a child’s natural enjoyment of music and the arts can help to develop a lifelong love for God and His Church. Our Worship Ministries partner with our Children’s Discipleship Ministries to combine worship training with Bible teaching.
Children’s worship programs meet during the school year (September-May) on Wednesday evenings from 6-7:15 p.m. with Christmas and Spring performances as well as periodic performances in Sunday morning worship and integration into church-wide musical productions.

Acolytes–children are encouraged to participate in Sunday morning worship through the traditional role of symbolically inviting in the presence of God by lighting candles. To volunteer or sign up your child to participate contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
Youth Worship Arts

- Youth Worship Arts Choir–Frazer simply doesn’t buy that teenagers are too cool for choir. On the contrary, YWA is one of our most popular student programs. YWA is a fun opportunity for fellowship and developing creative talents, but also much more than that: it becomes a central way for young people to grow into their own expression of faith, and then reach out through worship to serve others. Through YWA, students experience and share God’s unconditional love.
YWA rehearsal (including pizza dinner) meets during the school year (September-May) on Sunday afternoon from 3-5 p.m. in Room 8253 with Christmas and Spring performances and an annual summer choir/mission tour, as well as periodic Sunday morning worship performances. Volunteer opportunities include parent-assistants, technical support, and tour chaperones. Contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address), YWA Director.
