WFRZ was most recently awarded the Starr Award in 2004 from the Montgomery Chapter of the Public Relations Council of Alabama for its weekly Christian news program, Profiles. In addition, one of the programs' stories, “Even the very hairs,” received a certificate of excellence in the category of writing for broadcast media. In 2003, the show received a certificate of excellence for its broadcast news story "Just Believe" and a certificate of excellence for the station's production of a 30-second public service announcement "Amazing Grace" by the Public Relations Council of Alabama. Also that year, WFRZ received a Gold Award from the Montgomery Area Business Communicators for a commercial promoting the station’s commitment to family-friendly entertainment, a Gold Award for the Profiles story, “Missing Piece,” a Silver Award for the television news story, “Respond if You Choose,” and a Bronze Award for the program, Profiles. In 2000, WFRZ received the honor of "Affiliate of the Year" by the Christian Network, Inc. In 1995, "Frazer Family Worship" received the Viewer's Choice Award from the national network, FamNet.
